From the airport you can take Flybus to go to the city center, it stops outside the exit from the baggage area. You can ask the driver to stop near your hotel, the ride takes 10 minutes. Alternatively you can take a regular bus. If you arrive late, you should look for a taxi instead.

The conference venue is the University of Tromsø. Here is the map. Precise location is: MH-building (Medicine and Health Studies), U6 A3 aud.3 (ground floor of the building). You can reach the destination by bus nr.20, direction Stakkevollan/University. The bus goes every 15-20 minutes, it stops on Fr.Langes gate; you can get a detailed schedule here (bus nr.20 between the city center = Fr.Langes gate and  the University = UiT). The rides takes about 10 minutes. The tickets can be bought from the driver in cash (28 krones; no credit cards or foreign curency is accepted). More detailed instructions are here. 
For those willing to walk, you can reach the venue by foot within an hour (40 minutes in good pace), the road goes along the bus route 20, most part along Dramsvegen (blue line in this map).

We plan an excursion and party on Wednesday 29/8. It will contain a bus/boat trip and the conference dinner in a location next to the Ocean. Brave participants can take swimming suits+towel on this trip as the location allows a short swim. The price of this social activity is included in the (full) registration fee. For the accompanying persons, participating in the event, the price shall be paid in the amount equal to the registration fee. Please let us know your wish aforehand.
