We will discuss some problems in dynamical systems, their role in applications and connections to other areas of mathematics. The topics to be touched on are:
- Location of equilibria, periodic and chaotic solutions and examination of their type.
- Local bifurcation analysis.
- Estimation of basins of attraction.
