"Monge-Ampere equations and integrability"

I will discuss the invariant conditions characterizing Monge-Ampere equations among all second order scalar PDE. This uses some representation theory and formal theory of differential equations. I will mention how this is then applied to integrability of Hirota type equations in 4D. Based on a joint work with E.Ferapontov and V.Novikov arXiv:1707.08070.
