"Conformal geometry via tractor calculus".

In this talk we will develop the conformal tractor calculus as the conformal analogue of the Ricci calculus of Riemannian geometry. We demonstrate its utility by constructing obstructions to the existence of an Einstein metric in a given conformal class. Time permitting, we will examine geometric constraints on conformally compact pseudo-Riemannian manifolds.

The talk is planned as introductory and no special knowledge except the basic knowledge in differential geometry is required.
