Valentin Lychagin "Ternary forms"

In this talk we'll discuss an application of differential invariant theory and Lie-Tresse theorem to the classical algebraic problem: classification of ternary forms.

It'll be shown that differential invariants allow to construct algebraic rational invariants and provide us with a complete classification of regular ternary forms.
