"On history of quantum groups"

In this lecture professor Fadeev will discuss the notion of quantum group, one of the central objects on the edge of modern physics and mathematics. Fadeev with his school stayed at the very origin of the quantum group theory, so that this lecture will recreate the atmosphere of this important invention, its development and applications in other areas of mathematics and physics.
