"High Contrast Periodic Diffusion and Sticky Brownian Motion"
In my talk, I'll discuss how sticky Brownian motion naturally arises in a limiting process associated with diffusion in high-contrast periodic media. We'll also discuss how to define sticky Brownian motion using the notion of local time. Based on joint work with Andrei Piatnitski (Moscow-Narvik).

"Approximating Jets of Initial Curves by Finite-Gap Solutions for Certain Classes of BKM Systems"
For several classes of BKM systems we show that almost every solution can be jet-approximated by a finite-gap solution. These BKM are evolutionary integrable PDEs introduced by Bolsinov-Konyaev-Matveev in the context of the Nijenhuis Geometry program, and they include the Korteweg-de Vries, Kaup-Boussinesq, Camassa-Holm and Harry-Dym equations. Finite-gap are explicit solutions obtained in terms of a finite-reduction map, which embeds a finite-dimensional integrable system into the BKM PDE. The talk will cover background on finite-gap solutions for PDEs and illustrate the proof strategy using explicit Maple computations. No background in differential geometry is required. Based on joint work with Manuel Quaschner (Jena)
