"Multifractals"

Multifractality (or multi-scaling) is a phenomena that is receiving increased interest in many sciences and fields. In particular in economics, geophysics, image processing, dynamical systems theory and statistical physics. In this talk I will give a rigorous introduction to some key elements of this theory, focusing on the construction of multifractal measures and calculation of their spectra.
