Per Jakobsen "Spectral measures, POV's and the Naimark construction".

In this lecture I plan to give an introduction to the notion of spectral measures, positive operator valued measures (POV's) and describe how these are linked through the Naimark dilation construction. It turns out that POV's and the Naimark construction are closely associated with the notion of conditional expectation and conditional probability, and if time allows I will discuss this association.
