"Classifying homogeneous Legendrian curves in P^3"

I'll discuss the classification problem, up to projective equivalence, of special types of curves in P^3 called "nondegenerate Legendrian curves". These are curves compatible with a (conformal) symplectic structure. In particular, we'll discuss the connection to classical Wilczynski theory of 4th order linear ODE and identify some relative and absolute invariants that are sufficient for classifying homogeneous such objects.

Time permitting, I also hope to discuss broader motivation for this study coming from (2,3,5)-distributions, in particular the vector distribution arising from the rolling of two 2-spheres without twisting or slipping.
