“Stationary Black holes and Conformal Transformations”
A class of dynamical black holes can be generated by applying a time dependent conformal transformation to the Schwarzschild metric. The event horizon of such a dynamical black hole can be detected by a scalar polynomial curvature invariant that transforms under a conformal transformation by being multiplied by a power of the conformal factor. In this talk I will discuss how this invariant and others are constructed, and its applications to new dynamical black hole solutions produced by applying a conformal transformation to stationary black hole solutions of higher cohomogeneity.
