Dear Colleagues, in this second circular for the workshop in Tromso we provide more details : 1. The program of the workshop is now ready and can be accessed from the web-page starting from tomorrow (some minor changes may occur). The talks may be presented in any of the standard formats: PC beamer, overhead projector, small (!) whiteboard or A1-flipper. No blackboard though. For PC presentation you can use your own laptop or copy it via flash stick to ours. The talks are 40- or 30-minutes long (see the program) and we left enough free time for informal discussions. 2. The lodging will be of two types: hotel rooms and cabins. LAN internet connection or WiFi is available at the former. Those who are going to live in the latter will be compensated by high-speed WiFi in the lobby (we are in the process of distributing the rooms, but don't worry both choices are good). 3. Even though details of the excursions are not clear yet, we would make an advice about the weather: take with you some warm cloth. It is still summer, but the Arctic is unpredictable and one should be ready for temperature below 10C with wind and fog. Rain is also possible, but umbrellas are hardly usuful: Take an all-weather jacket instead. Well, notwithstanding these precautions we all hope for good sunny days. The most adventereous are adviced to bring a swimsuit and shorts. There is a sand beach near the hotel. 4. Information on bus will be distributed later, but a general advice for those arriving before 4pm is to leave the luggage in lockers at the airport and to go visit the city. Airport Express FlyBus will take you to the downtown in 15 minutes and the conference bus will collect you from there. You can plan your time using Destination Tromso. 5. Once more about the change in Oslo: even if you arrive from EU you are required to collect your luggage at Oslo and then use drop-in. Leaving the luggage alone will lead to inconvenience, because Sommaroy conference center is 1-1.5 hour drive from Tromso and it will be costy to deliver it there. Try to keep the most important things with you. Looking towards seeing you soon. Organizers.
